Keyboard shortcuts
Open the notch, add tasks quickly, and customise the quick-add shortcut.

Open / focus NotchDo
Hover your cursor over the top centre of the screen (on your Mac display or an external display) to expand the notch.

Quick add task (default)
Press both Option keys on your keyboard at the same time to open the quick task add menu from anywhere.

Change the quick-add shortcut
Expand the notch, click the Settings icon in the top-right corner, then open Quick add shortcut. You can switch to double-tapping the Option key instead of pressing both keys together.

Tip
Task actions in the notch
Tick to complete, double-click to rename, drag the grip lines to reorder, and right-click to delete. These actions are done directly in the expanded notch — no separate keyboard shortcuts needed.
