Step 1
Add a task
Expand the notch and click Add task, or press both Option keys to open the quick add menu. Write in natural language and press Return to save.
Step 2
Natural language syntax
Use p1, p2, or p3 for priority. Use # or @ for categories. Add reminders with ! — for example, ! tomorrow or ! 3pm next monday. Add recurrences with !! — for example, !! every day 2pm. Combine them: water plants ! 2pm !! daily creates a daily 2pm reminder.
Step 3
Add subtasks
After pressing Return to start a new line, type - followed by your subtask text to nest items under the main task.
Step 4
Work with cards
Click Add card to create an empty card you can write on. Click and drag the three dots on the left edge of a card to pull it out of the notch — you can pull out as many cards as you want. To put a card back, drag it into the notch; the notch expands and shows a slot where you can drop it.
Step 5
Edit and organise tasks
Tick a task to mark it complete. Double-click to rename. Click and drag the three horizontal lines on the left of a task row to reorder. Right-click a task to delete it.
